Our Work
When our movements are well resourced by our own people for the long haul, we can take bold stances to resist oppression.
Our Three-Part Strategy
Build a community of movement fundraisers across the six New England states.
Strengthen the fundraising capacity of movement organizations through training, coaching, and popular education.
Mobilize resources collaboratively and expand the pie of resources available for movement building.
Community of Movement Fundraisers
We believe that strong social movements are needed to address deep rooted injustices in our region and beyond.
We identify base building as the core strategy of building movements, and strong regional movement ecosystems as necessary for strong base-building. We partner with organizations who build the long-term organized power of communities of color, queer and trans folks, and poor and working people in New England.
Frontline Movement Partners
Frontline Movement Groups
Organizations with a membership base from historically targeted communities, leading campaigns for social, racial, economic, gender, and environmental justice.
Movement Ecosystem Partners
Organizations working alongside base-building groups with a complimentary strategy such as leadership development, solidarity economy, radical direct service or aid, advocacy, and culture work.

New Strategies for Movement Fundraising
ROP and network partners work together to develop collective fundraising projects, including shared funds, multi-organizational events, donor organizing, and funder orgainzer, thereby expanding the pie of movement resources. See below for more on our “Mobilize Resources” strategy and current offerings.
Mobilize Resources
What would a fully-funded movement for justice and liberation in New England look like?
ROP envisions a network where our partners collaborate on shared fundraising strategies and collectively control movement resources. We are laying the groundwork for an interconnected community where:
- Frontline organizations set movement strategy
- Funders follow organizations’ lead, bringing new revenue sources with them
- Thousands of cross-class donors are organizing to expand grassroots sources of money.
